Questa mattina il Lago delle Meraviglie si è trasformato ancora una volta in un grande atelier all’aperto.
Fin dalle prime ore del mattino tanti amici del Bosco hanno raggiunto il grande salice, curiosi di scoprire quale artista avrebbe presentato Spruzzo nella nuova lezione dell’Alfabeto degli Artisti.
Mia e Tuo arrivarono per primi insieme a Ignazio.
«Secondo voi oggi quale lettera toccherà?» domandò Mia.
«Io spero la B!» rispose Tuo. «Ci sono tantissimi artisti famosi con quella lettera!»
Pochi istanti dopo Spruzzo comparve con il suo inseparabile cappello da pittore, una tavolozza piena di colori e un grande cartello decorato con foglie verdi.
Il procione sorrise.
«Bravissimi! Oggi impariamo la B!»
Con un gesto teatrale sollevò il cartello.
B come… Botticelli!
Tutti applaudirono.
«Sandro Botticelli è stato uno dei più grandi pittori del Rinascimento italiano» spiegò Spruzzo.
«Amava dipingere persone eleganti, dai lunghi capelli mossi, la natura, i fiori e la primavera. Le sue opere sembrano quasi delle favole dipinte.»
Ignazio osservò incuriosito.
«È quello che ha dipinto una dama piena di fiori?»
«Proprio lei!» rispose Spruzzo.
«Si chiama Flora. Nella mitologia romana è la dea della primavera e dei fiori. Nel celebre dipinto di Botticelli indossa un magnifico abito ricoperto di fiori e cammina spargendone sul prato, come se la primavera sbocciasse ad ogni suo passo.»
Mia guardò il bosco intorno a sé.
«Allora è un po’ come se facesse fiorire tutto!»
«Esatto!» sorrise Spruzzo.
«Botticelli curava ogni piccolo particolare: i capelli, le foglie, i petali e perfino i tessuti degli abiti. Osservando i suoi quadri si scoprono sempre nuovi dettagli.»
Poi il procione tirò fuori una grande illustrazione.
La dama aveva lunghi capelli ondulati e una corona di foglie tutta da personalizzare.
«Oggi però» disse Spruzzo «non copieremo il dipinto. Diventeremo artisti come Botticelli e ognuno creerà la propria Dama della Primavera.»
Mia alzò subito la mano.
«Possiamo scegliere i capelli?»
«Certo!»
«E decorare il vestito?»
«Assolutamente!»
«E mettere foglie, farfalle, stelle o tanti fiori?»
Spruzzo rise.
«Più fantasia userete, più la vostra dama sarà speciale. L’arte non serve a fare tutti la stessa cosa, ma a creare qualcosa di unico.»
Ignazio prese il dado.
«Allora siamo pronti!»
«Proprio così!» esclamò Spruzzo.
«Lanciate il dado e scoprite come decorare la vostra dama. Chissà quante opere meravigliose nasceranno oggi sulle rive del Lago delle Meraviglie!»
Io, naturalmente, non vedevo l’ora di fotografarle tutte per il prossimo numero del Giornale del Bosco delle Meraviglie.

Vuoi rendere la tua opera ancora più speciale?
Invece di colorare lo sfondo direttamente dietro la dama, ritagliala con attenzione e incollala su un foglio A4.
A questo punto potrai:
continuare il paesaggio intorno alla dama, come se uscisse davvero dal quadro;
oppure creare uno sfondo colorato a tinta unita con le tue tonalità preferite.
Infine, aggiungi una cornice disegnata o realizzata con cartoncino… e la tua Dama della Primavera diventerà un vero quadro da appendere!

From the very early morning, many friends from the Wonder Forest gathered beneath the great willow tree, excited to discover which artist Splash would introduce in the newest lesson of the Artists’ Alphabet.
Mia and Tuo arrived first, together with Ignazio.
“Which letter do you think we’ll learn today?” asked Mia.
“I hope it’s B!” replied Tuo. “There are so many famous artists whose names start with that letter!”
A few moments later, Splash appeared wearing his inseparable painter’s hat, carrying a palette full of bright colors and a large sign decorated with green leaves.
The little raccoon smiled.
“Excellent! Today we’re learning the letter B!”
With a dramatic flourish, he lifted the sign.
B is for… Botticelli!
Everyone applauded.
“Sandro Botticelli was one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance,” Splash explained. “He loved painting elegant people with long flowing hair, beautiful nature, flowers, and springtime. His paintings almost look like fairy tales brought to life.”
Ignazio looked at him curiously.
“Is he the artist who painted the lady covered with flowers?”
“That’s right!” Splash replied. “Her name is Flora. In Roman mythology, Flora is the goddess of spring and flowers. In Botticelli’s famous painting, she wears a magnificent dress covered with blossoms and walks across a meadow scattering flowers, as if spring blooms wherever she steps.”
Mia looked around at the forest.
“So it’s almost as if she makes everything bloom!”
“Exactly!” smiled Splash. “Botticelli paid attention to every tiny detail: the hair, the leaves, the flower petals, and even the fabric of the clothes. Every time you look at one of his paintings, you can discover something new.”
Then the little raccoon took out a large illustration.
It showed a graceful lady with long wavy hair and a leafy crown, ready to be decorated.
“Today,” said Splash, “we won’t copy the original painting. Instead, we’ll become artists like Botticelli, and each of you will create your own Lady of Spring.”
Mia immediately raised her hand.
“Can we choose her hairstyle?”
“Of course!”
“Can we decorate her dress?”
“Absolutely!”
“Can we add leaves, butterflies, stars, or lots of flowers?”
Splash laughed.
“The more imagination you use, the more special your lady will be. Art isn’t about making everything look the same—it’s about creating something unique.”
Ignazio picked up the die.
“Then we’re ready!”
“That’s right!” exclaimed Splash. “Roll the die and discover how to decorate your Lady of Spring. I wonder how many wonderful masterpieces will be created today along the shores of Wonder Lake!”

A Real Artist’s Tip!
Want to make your artwork even more beautiful?
Instead of drawing the background behind your lady, carefully cut her out and glue her onto a sheet of A4 paper.
Then you can:
continue the landscape around her, making it look as if she is part of the scene;
or create a solid-colored background using your favorite color.
Finally, add a hand-drawn frame or make one from cardstock… and your Lady of Spring will become a beautiful painting to display!
